# How to Install Outpost (Android)

This guide walks you through the installation and sign-in process for the **Outpost** app by SensorUp on Android mobile phones and tablets.

  **Prerequisites**

  * You must have a SensorUp user account (email and password).
  * You'll need your organization's **Server URL**, which you'll use to log in.

### Sign in using the following details

* Use your **Server URL**, **email**, and **password** to log in.

### Android Installation Instructions

1. Open the [**Google Play Store**](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sensorup.sensorhub\&pcampaignid=web_share\&pli=1) on your Android device.
2. Search for **SensorUp Outpost**.
3. Tap **Install** to download the app.
4. Once installed, tap **Open** to launch the app.
5. On the first sign-in screen:
   * Enter your **Environment URL** (e.g., `https://yourcompany.sensorup.com`) and tap **Next**.
   * Enter your **account email address** and **password**, then tap **Sign In**.
6. If you've set up **Two-Factor Authentication**, enter the verification code.
   * If not, you'll be prompted to set it up.
   * You can optionally check **"Don't ask me again on this device"** before entering the code.

## First-Time Access

If you're a new user:

* Ensure you've received an invitation**email**  from SensorUp.
* Follow the link in the email to activate your account and set your password.
* Return to the app and sign in using the credentials you just created.

## Grant Permissions

Follow these steps to ensure the app functions properly:

1. When prompted, tap **Allow Location**.
2. You'll be redirected to **Outpost App Info** in your Android settings.
3. Tap **Permissions** > **Location** > **Allow all the time**.
4. Use the top-left **Back arrow** to return step-by-step back to Outpost.
5. If needed, manually re-open the Outpost app from your app drawer.
6. On the **Additional Permissions** screen, allow the following:

   | Permission              | Recommended Option  |
   | ----------------------- | ------------------- |
   | Camera & Video          | While using the app |
   | Notifications           | Allow               |
   | Photos and Media Access | Allow all           |

## Downloading Resources

* After signing in, the app will begin downloading resources required for initial setup.
* This may take a few moments for first-time users.
