## Before you start

Ensure you have:

* Access to the Fugitive Emission Dashboards feature
* Viewer role or higher to view site check-in data

## Understanding the Site Check-ins tab

### Check-in statuses

Each site check-in has one of the following statuses:

| Status | Colour | Description |
| --------------- | ------ | ---------------------------------------------------- |
| **Scheduled** | Blue | Check-in is planned but not yet completed |
| **In Progress** | Yellow | Field technician is actively completing the check-in |
| **Completed** | Green | Check-in has been finished |

### Environmental data

Site check-ins capture key environmental conditions that may affect inspection activities:

* **Temperature** — Ambient temperature at the site
* **Barometric Pressure** — Atmospheric pressure reading
* **Wind Speed** — Wind conditions during the survey
* **Weather Conditions** — General weather description

### Equipment states

Site check-ins document the operational status of key equipment:

* **Pneumatic Devices** — Status of pneumatic controllers and valves
* **Storage Tanks** — Tank levels and conditions
* **Instrument Air** — Status of instrument air systems
* **Power Supply** — Electrical power status
* **Shutdown Status** — Whether the site or equipment is shut down
* **Abandonment Status** — Whether the site has been abandoned

## Using the detail blade

Click on any site check-in row or map marker to open the detail blade.

### Details tab

The Details tab displays:

* Survey metadata (date, status, field technician)
* Environmental readings (temperature, pressure, wind speed)
* Equipment status information
* Site conditions and notes
* Media attachments (photos from the survey)

## Understanding site check-in context

Site check-ins serve as the starting point for OGI inspections. The environmental and equipment data captured provides important context for:

* **Inspection validity** — Environmental conditions may affect detection equipment performance
* **Safety assessment** — Equipment states help identify potential hazards
* **Regulatory compliance** — Weather conditions may be required for compliance documentation
* **Operational context** — Shutdown or abandonment status affects how inspection results are interpreted
